Home theater deals

Roku Streaming Stick 4K

Photo: Roku

This streaming stick from Roku has been continuous is one of our favorites, and now it’s cheaper than usual. It comes with the Roku Voice Remote, so you can find your programs without having to use the tedious on-screen keyboard, and the latest version (released in 2021) Dolby Vision HDR support.

We call it LG C1 (8/10, recommended wired) a game-changing TV that, thanks to its class-leading contrast, 120Hz refresh rate at 4K, and minimal input lag, all make it great for both cinema and gaming. Normally, we’d see this set for around $900 at Amazon, but today it’s down to an all-time low.

Sony makes some of the best looking OLED TVs on the market, and this one is a great one. At 48 inches, it’s not one of the biggest around, but it’s still good for medium-sized living spaces. Its center stand makes it relatively easy to place; it supports both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision types; and it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is very convenient for gamers.

We are big fans of TCL’s 5 and 6-Series TVs around. While the 4-Series used to be a bit too underpowered to earn our recommendations, recent models have begun to inherit the specs we liked from previous generations. This 43-inch model is a great budget model if you need a smaller TV, such as a living room.

Home and kitchen deals

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus

The KitchenAid Pro 5 Stand Mixer needs no further introduction. Still, it’s one of the most versatile tools you can have in your kitchen. Its price tends to be quite high, so when we see it drop that much, we’ll pay attention.

Dyson V11

Dyson V11 (8/10, recommended wired) exists at an odd point. While WIRED reviewer Adrienne So called it a “dream vacation,” it has since been discontinued for newer options like V15. That makes it very rare to find this V15 for sale, and usually, the V11 and V15 are priced close enough that you might as well pay a bit more to get the V15. But at this discount, the older model might be worth it.

Nest doorbell is almost Our top picks for video doorbells, but it fell to runner-up due to its price. With this deal, however, that’s no longer the case. This model has an easy-to-use stand and can last up to a month on a single charge.

This third-generation Nest Learning Thermostat is a slightly older model, but it works surprisingly well and we like it. It allows you to control the heat and A/C from your phone and easily set a schedule (which it can try to learn based on how you use it). It even prompts you when to change your filter.

Deals on smartphones & wearables

Google Pixel 6 Pro

Google’s latest high-end flagship, the Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommend) has one of the best phone cameras we’ve ever seen — includes a welcome and impressive Real Tone feature for taking better photos of darker-skinned people. It’s been my daily driver since it came out and now it’s worth even more than usual.

The original Garmin instinct was some newer modelsbut at a discount, it’s still a good buy if you’re looking for a GPS-enabled smartwatch packed with a bunch of sensors, mapping capabilities, and a rugged case.

Headphones & Cameras Discounts

Beats Studio3

Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones (owned by Apple) (8/10, recommended wired) has been around as an iconic headset for several years now, and for good reason. They have excellent noise cancellation, solid wireless range, and at least 20 hours of battery life per charge.

We haven’t tested Sony’s WH-XB910N, but their pricier cousin, the WH-1000XM4 (9/10, WIRED Recommend) won our pick for best wireless headphones. If you want to save some money while still getting some benefit from Sony’s headphone design, these might fit your bill.

Alpha a7 IV (9/10, WIRED Recommend) is ours Top camera picks for most people. The Alpha a7 III may be a generation after that option, but it still has most of the same strengths (as long as you don’t need an upgraded autofocus system) and it’s significantly cheaper than the a7. IV.
