49ers’ Bosa to leave Panthers game with groin injury
Two-time Pro Bowl competitive racer Nick Bosa has left San Francisco 49ers‘Week 5 game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a groin injury.
Bosa left the game in the first half and was tested on the sideline before being disqualified a short time later.
After playing just two games in 2020, Bosa hasn’t missed a single one in 2021, playing all 17 competitions in the regular season.
Losing Bosa for a long time would be a big hit for the 49ers’ defence. Bossa enters the week leader NFL in sacks (six), quarter hits (16), pressure on quarters (30) and pressure ratios on quarters (26%).
Los Angeles Chargers support Nick’s brother, Joey Bosa, suffered a groin injury of his own during Week4. Initial reports downplayed the severity, but then disclosure that Bosa had torn his groin, keeping him out for eight to 10 weeks.
