From the author of Summer job is a hilarious comedy about a woman’s impulsive impulse to embark on a summer of renewal and learn about love, life, and what it means to accept herself.

With a love triangle of all kinds, a horoscope-obsessed yet endearing protagonist (the seagull scene is everything), and a passionate cast of supporting characters, this is the perfect beach. to read us through the heatwave.

Review of Lareese…

Hello reading holiday! I took The Set Up with me on a recent trip to Tulum and I must say it was made for top notch reading by the pool. I love Lizzy Dent’s first novel Summer job Last year I was so excited about this release and ran across it on my vacation!

Although I don’t like it completely Like TSJ, I still find myself invested in Mara’s quest to find the One, and the tumultuous journey that comes with your intuitive first, second, and even third guess. While there are certainly elements of cliché in the story, Mara’s harrowing experience of drifting from a friend who has either ridden or died and feels inadequate about her career choices encapsulates the peaks. highs and lows that a lot of people will be able to relate to in their twenties.

Lizzy has done a great job of building a vivid picture of Mara’s life at Broadgate and the people around her, and I find myself drawn to it whenever I have some free time during the trip. mine. Lareese

Lily’s review…

This is an easy fun read! I really enjoyed some parts and I was interested in the main characters and their romance!

Lizzy has the innate ability to create characters whose flaws let you down and make you want to vibrate a little with some meaning while also wanting to hug them tight and talk to each other.Lily

The Set Up follows protagonist Mara Williams, who always lets her horoscope, universe, and fate be her guide. She never had enough confidence to trust her instincts/guts. Lizzy has the innate ability to create characters whose flaws let you down and make you want to vibe with them while also wanting to hug them tight and talk. Stick with romance, thriller, or drama/crime books. However, if you are a fan of chick-flick rom-com novels then that’s you!! It can be said that manifestation and alignment are very current right now, so if you are also an astrology fan then read this novel.

After The Summer Job and now The Setup, Lizzy Dent will hold a spot on my author’s TBR. I really enjoyed what she created with these two publications.

Mara’s heartbreaking experience, drifting after a ride or dying and feeling inadequate about her career choices encapsulates the highs and lows that so many people would be able to associate with a double age their ten.Charlotte

Danielle’s review…

Lizzy Dent did it again with The Setup, I love this book! Performed by Anna Gilthorpe I listened to this song while I was away this summer and enjoyed every second of it. Similar to her last novel The Summer Job, there are definitely points where you want the protagonist Mara to get excited, but don’t we all have friends like that?!

When anyone asks me about finding ‘one’, I usually tell them to deal with other problems on their own, so it’s refreshing to see Mara put herself in a position where she’s “ready” for her. meetings! Danielle

Parts of this book remind me of one of my favorite fall movies – Serendipity. As Mara follows the horoscope and fate takes her on an adventure to try to make her life bigger than it is now – that’s what I can personally relate to! When anyone asks me about finding ‘one’, I usually tell them to deal with other problems on their own, so it’s refreshing to see Mara put herself in a position where she’s “ready” for her. meetings! Obviously, some of this just looks like getting your nails done, but making new friends and experiencing new things really broadens your horizons.
