A Guide To Bitcoin Amsterdam – Bitcoin Magazine
This is the editorial opinion of Chris Smith, event ticketing manager of BTC Inc. Disclaimer: BTC Inc. is the parent company of Bitcoin Magazine and Bitcoin Conference.
A lot has happened in the past three months since Bitcoin Amsterdam was announced. An orange wave took over the city as Bitcoiners from all over the world poured into the city. With more than 100 speakers confirmed and over 3000 people expected in place, looks like we’ll be celebrating Bitcoin winter storm in the Venice of the North.
As discussed in my previous section, “Bitcoin Conference and Pursuit of Super Bitcoin,” I tried to answer some questions like:
What is Hyperbitcoinization? Why do we choose Amsterdam? And why go global with Bitcoin Conference?
For this piece, I want to focus on Bitcoin Amsterdam and highlight what I believe will be a real spark in the acceleration of hyperbitcoinization in Europe. I will cover two different topics: experience and opportunity. Bitcoin is the best for humans and Bitcoin Amsterdam aims to prove that point once again.
A lineup to be excited about
With a two-day lineup of action speakers, a full art gallery and the European section of the Sound Money Fest, I believe there is no shortage of experiences to be had at Bitcoin Amsterdam. If you are in Miami, you can expect similar energy, but this time with a European flare. Cooperation with Decentralized AmsterdamThe Bitcoin Conference has scheduled three days for a full agenda focused on the adoption of the Bitcoin base combined with the liberal-first ethos for which the Benelux region is known. Here are some of my favorite agenda highlights that you won’t want to miss!

Nigel Farage will join Peter McCormack on the main stage to discuss decentralization and how to make Europe more financially competitive. “Farage” on GB News will be broadcast live on Thursday, October 13, the second GA day of the event, at 8 p.m. (GMT+2).

“Free Assange”

One of my most exciting and anticipated talks during the conference will be the opportunity to hear Stella Assange discuss Bitcoin, her husband’s story, and how the two connect. this is a can’t miss discussion. Catch it at 3:15pm on the first GA day of the event.
“Fight for Freedom”
Venue: Moon Arena (Main Stage)

Another highly anticipated fireside chat is the one between Leopoldo López and Alex Gladstein, which will feature a discussion of the fight for freedom. “The Future of Sidechains”
Venue: Moon Arena (Main Stage)
Guest(s): Adam Back, Aaron van Widum and Paul Sztorc
I have to admit, this is the board I’ve been looking forward to the most. Whenever I have the opportunity to listen to brilliant minds like Adam, Aaron, and Paul discuss high-level topics about Bitcoin, I always feel FOMO is there. Be sure to drop by the main stage on GA Day 1 at 11:55am to hear more about The Future of Sidechains.

Jeff Booth and Greg Foss both bring incredible conversations about risk management, while Niko and Philip will bring expertise in European finance and policy. This combination is highly desirable and fortunately it is the first panel on the agenda.
“Why Bitcoin? Understanding the macro landscape”

The macro landscape has been extremely dynamic lately, and bitcoin has experienced volatility in the midst of it. More than just a dashboard
Along with the great agenda and panels planned, there’s more to the event experience than what you’ll hear on stage. Here are some additional highlights of the activities you’ll want to see when you arrive at the venue.
Bitcoin Boat Tour
I think one of the best activities to do in Amsterdam is a boat tour and it’s exciting that these will be available at Bitcoin Amsterdam (sponsored by Ledn). This will be a great opportunity to connect with potential customers, boost business growth, or get closer to your team. Make sure you check all the information you need Know before you go.
Exhibition room
Last year at Bitcoin 2022, artists from around the world gathered to celebrate bitcoin and the opportunity it presents artists with autonomy. Bitcoin Amsterdam aims to bring this exact energy back, but with a focus on European bitcoin artists. Some of the featured artists in attendance are Lena, Pepenardo, Cryptograffiti, Mear One, Proof of Paint, Ryr, Zetra, Tommy Marcheschi and many more. See more about the artists in attendance and the gallery here.
Side events and whale night
In addition to what is happening at the venue, our events bring a unique aspect to the whole trip with “Bitcoin Week”. Bitcoin Week offers companies, media and any individual the opportunity to pursue their own side event for the community to attend. This is the group’s fourth iteration of ‘Whale Night’, locally.Superclub”.
Superclub is not like you’ve ever been. Not even close. A vibing club. A feast for all your senses where you will mingle, mingle and dance all night long. Supperclub is home to the brave, wild, young and restless.
It’s the home of unforgettable events and we know Whale Night will be just that – unforgettable!
European networking opportunity of the year
In addition to the amazing experience you will have as an attendee, there are many opportunities for you to increase your network and gain a better understanding of the Bitcoin industry. With more than 40 companies, 50 media outlets and 3000 people expected to attend, the event is becoming the premier event for sharing news, networking and driving business growth.
Here is a list of three “must know” things to help you navigate the network in Bitcoin Amsterdam and be as productive as you can be.
- We have a network application!
- To learn more about the official conference app, please visit mobile application page.
- You’ll be able to reach customers, set up meetings and organize your entire event agenda in our network app.
- If you are looking for a job in the bitcoin industry, this is the app for you.
- There will be an exhibition hall!
- The exhibition hall will be the best networking place at the event. Visit your favorite bitcoin companies, meet their teams and see what they’re building!
- The event is an “open campus!”
- An “open campus” means more activity will take place from building to building, and the entire site will be open to travel, interviews, and networking with others in the industry.
Bitcoin Amsterdam will become the where the network is connected. Doing things at the last second at conferences is often stressful and unsuccessful. Make sure you have a plan. Don’t be afraid to follow up on your connections after the conference and plan to see them again at Events in Miami in May 2023!
End everything
Bitcoin Amsterdam will become a lavish three-day race. If it’s not currently in your agenda, it should be! If you have made it through this article and want to attend, I am happy to offer a special 21% discount to all readers with the code “ARTICLE21”.
To wrap up, here are some more thoughts on Bitcoin Amsterdam from David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine:
“While Europe is lagging behind other regions in terms of government and regulatory acceptance, demand from conventional investors and institutions is among the highest in the world.
Furthermore, the continent’s significant community of Bitcoin developers and creators is helping to shape the future of the world’s preeminent digital currency – and it continues to grow.
Europe has been at the forefront of financial and technological innovation for more than 500 years, with Amsterdam playing a particularly notable role in the development of modern banking, making it the perfect choice for a European event. Our first Europe.
While Europe’s regulators have so far been slow to capture Bitcoin’s potential, the combination of the continent’s history and continued high demand for Bitcoin means that our community We can offer the support, cooperation and direction that European governments are showing signs of not providing, and together pursue our common goal of Hyperbitcoinization. “
