There was no dry eye as the Backstreet Boys halted their concert at the O2 Arena in London on Sunday in memory of Nick Carter’s younger brother Aaron Carter, who passed away at his California home on Thursday. Seven.

“That song is so special to us because it’s about family,” Kevin Richardson explained to the cheering crowd. “Tonight, we are a bit heavy-hearted because we lost a family member yesterday. We just wanted to find a certain moment on our show to recognize him.”
“Nick’s younger brother, Aaron Carter, passed away yesterday,” Richardson continued. “He’s part of our family and we thank you for all the love, all your well wishes and all your support.”
Nick, 42, doesn’t talk about his late brother on stage.
However, he did share a series of photos of himself and Aaron on Instagram ahead of Sunday’s show.
“My heart is broken,” he wrote. “Even though my brother and I have a complicated relationship, my love for him has never faded.”
The Backstreet Boys member wrote that he’s always “holding on to hope” that his brother – who has spoken publicly about his struggles with drug addiction and mental illness – will “find some relief.” the help he desperately needed.”
“I will miss my brother more than anyone has ever known,” he concluded. “Now you can finally have a peace you could never find here on earth.”

Aaron was found dead in the bathtub at his Southern California home. The official cause of death has not yet been released.
Over the weekend, his twin sister, Angel Conrad, also shared on Instagram a tribute to her brother.
“I know you are at peace now,” Conrad wrote. “I will carry you with me until the day I die and see you again.”
Aaron’s fiancée, Melanie Martin, has also shared her grief publicly since his death. On TikTok, she posted a two-second clip of herself crying behind the wheel of a car and an old recording of Aaron dancing during a live stream.
The couple share an 11-month-old son, Prince.

Carter’s 2000 album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), sold three million copies and produced hit singles including the title track and I want candy. His videos are broadcast regularly on Disney and Nickelodeon.
In 2009, Carter appeared on the ABC competition show Dancing with the starsfinished in fifth place with partner Karina Smirnoff.
Carter’s fifth and final studio album, LOVE AND LOVEwas released in 2018.
