The semi-finals of the PBA Governors’ Cup will feature a pairing of teams under the same umbrella, securing another corporate showdown between the San Miguel Corporation and the MVP Corporation for the championship.
There is a conspiracy as to how things will ultimately play out between Barangay Ginebra, a two-time Grand Finals winner defending, and this season’s Philippine Cup champion San Miguel Beer at a side and top seed TNT takes on Meralco on the other side of the fence .
FINAL SAN MIGUEL AND GINEBRA SEMIS MEETING
San Miguel defeated Ginebra in Philippine PBA Cup 2018Only five games are needed to win out of seven games.
The two teams went head-to-head in the semi-finals of the 2016 Governors’ Cup, with Ginebra going through all five games to beat San Miguel and eventually beat Meralco to claim the title.

ginebra Christian Standhardinger and San Miguel’s CJ Perez are leading 1-2 in the BPC race at the end of qualifying, and this series could determine which of the two will end up with one of the most coveted prizes in the league.
Standhardinger topped the BPC derby with 42.8 Stats as he particularly filled the void left by injured Japeth Aguilar while Perez was second with 39.3 points after a generally quiet all-out performance. but his effect on San Miguel.

San Miguel Beer beat TNT in the 2019 Commissioners Cup and 2022 Philippine Cup while Ginebra beat Meralco in the 2019 and 2022 Governors Cup and TNT in the 2020 Philippine Cup.
TNT brings the only win for MVP corporation in Philippine Football Cup 2021 by defeating Magnolia.
