Well, this is horrifying… and a little raised eyebrows.
Let’s face it, Jeffrey Epsteinpossibly the most controversial, suspicious death of the century. The billionaire has essentially lost his rights on sex trafficking charges, and has every reason to believe that he will be selling out many of the powerful men he believes are involved. And then he died violently in prison…by suicide? That was so sketchy, that in the next few years whenever anyone connected to him died, people would take a closer look at those cases.
In the death of Steven Hoffenberg, it’s not just a close-up view. The man must be identified by his dental record.
Hoffenberg’s body was discovered Tuesday after a friend with no knowledge of him called authorities to request a medical examination. What police found in the former prisoner’s Derby, Connecticut apartment was a display of horror.

The 77-year-old man’s body lay on the bedroom floor in an unrecognizable state of decomposition. Police believe he has been dead for at least a week.
The cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but authorities said they did not see any signs of trauma. The police told DailyMail.com they believe it is him, although the body cannot be identified:
“There’s nothing to suggest this isn’t him. Every piece of evidence that we obtained – vehicles, medical records, phone IDs, etc., all belonged to him.”
His friend Maria Farmer – the friend asked for a check-up – told the outlet that he was diagnosed with Omicron variant COVID about a month ago and is having a hard time recovering. At his age, all alone, it makes sense. Although we also wouldn’t be surprised if there are people who don’t buy natural causes.
Hoffenberg runs Towers Financial Corp with Epstein in the ’90s – a financial firm where he ran a Ponzi scheme in which he stole a whopping $460 million from more than 200 victims. He pleaded guilty in 1995 and served 18 years in prison for fraud. Following Epstein’s death in 2019, Hoffenberg claimed the convicted pedophile was also the “architect” behind the scam. Although Epstein was never charged, he purportedly made millions of dollars from the scheme.
Participating in that kind of scam is enough to make people suspicious of your mysterious death in which there is nothing but an unrecognizable corpse. But also tie him to Epstein?
He and the alleged sex trafficker have been close for decades. Hoffenberg ran in that same circle as Epstein and Donald Trump – he had a whole floor of Trump Tower in the 90s. He even remained friends with Epstein after his conviction for soliciting a 14-year-old prostitute. (Remember, that’s what Epstein pleaded guilty to instead of facing human trafficking charges in 2005!)
The idea that he may have known a thing or two about Epstein’s activities – and the powerful men involved – is not out of the question. So yes, we think his death will forever be in place.
