Arsenal midfielder will not play again until 2023 due to injury:


Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny may not work again before January 2023, Target declared.

The Egypt international picked up a hamstring injury in the 2-1 win over Fulham on August 27. The midfielder finished the game but the extent of the injury became apparent shortly after the match ended. On September 2nd, Arsenal’s boss Mikel Arteta confirmed that Elneny will remain on the sidelines for months.

According to the aforementioned report, Elneny is not expected to feature for the Gunners before the end of the year. He could be back in action as early as January 2023. His exact return date is yet to be determined.

Elneny, who has only played one game this season, signed a contract extension in May 2022. His current deal with the Londoners expires in June 2023. However, there is an option. choose to extend their stay by one year.


Arsenal’s Europa League clash with PSV Eindhoven postponed after Queen’s fall

The Gunners’ UEFA Europa League GW 2 match against PSV, which will take place on 15 September at Emirates Stadium, has been postponed indefinitely.

The match was postponed due to limited police resources. A significant portion of the aforementioned resources has been allocated to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (September 19).

UEFA confirmed the postponement through an official statement on Monday (September 12). It reads (via The Independent):

“UEFA announced today that the UEFA Europa League match between Arsenal FC and PSV Eindhoven, originally scheduled for Thursday 15 September, has been postponed with a new date to be announced in due course. .

“This is due to severe limited police resources and organizational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding Queen Elizabeth II’s national mourning.”

North London Outfits confirmed that tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture.

Their statement reads:

“We are working with the authorities to reschedule the match and any tickets and/or packages purchased for this match will be valid for the rescheduled date. Further updates, including information on upcoming matches, will be shared on arsenal.com. “
