Bayley and Damage CTRL set a trap on last night’s WWE RAW episode and it worked perfectly.
WWE signed a contract between Bayley and Bianca Belair ahead of their RAW Women’s Championship Ladder Match at Extreme Rules last night. During the contract signing process, the cameras cut behind the scenes of Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. They attacked Alexa Bliss and Asuka, distracting the RAW Female Champion.
The Role Model capitalized and dragged The EST across the table and snagged several strikes before it broke. Dakota and IYO held Asuka’s leg on a steel chair and stomped on it during the attack. Bayley took to Twitter today to brag about the attack. The 33-year-old responded to a tweet from USA Network noting that contracts never end well.
“She wants it just between us…”
Damage CTRL stands tall on WWE RAW
After the backstage attack, Alexa Bliss challenged IYO SKY to a duel to avenge The Empress of Tomorrow.
Alexa vs. IYO in RAW main event. Damage CTRL rang the match and continued to participate. Alexa hits Twisted Bliss but Bayley distracts the referee. RAW women’s champion Bianca Belair made it to the ring in equal proportions but Damage CTRL sent her flying up the steel stairs.
Asuka limped down the entrance with a sword stick but the heel side knocked her down as well. IYO connects with Moonsault on Bliss to win and CTRL Damage immediately attacks after the bell rings.
The group clamped Alexa inside a ladder and pinned it down on her. Bayley took the RAW Women’s Championship and climbed the ladder. Tag Team champions Dakota and IYO of the women’s team followed and the team set off with titles to close out the show.
Bianca Belair took the RAW Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. It will be interesting to see if she can beat another member of the Four Horsewoman to prolong her title reign. this Saturday at Extreme Rules or not.
