Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are expanding their family once again. Lively shared the news she was pregnant with the couple’s fourth child today, showing off her baby bump in a beaded dress while attending the event Forbes Power Women’s Summit, where she was honored.
Lively joked about her and Reynolds being “raiders” in 2016, hinting that they wanted a big family. “I am one of five children,” she said then. “My husband is one of four, so we are officially breeders. You can go to our website and we will give you some of our children”.
Lively and Reynolds have three daughters: James, age 7; Inez, 5; and Betty, 2. Welcoming Betty in October 2019.
Lively and Reynolds have made a point to protect their family’s privacy, choosing not to reveal photos of their children on their social media. Lively explained that decision in 2016 to Marie Claire. The couple want their children to grow up normally, just like they once were.
“Ryan has had a good, normal life and we want our kids to have the same normal life we had,” Lively said. “We never wanted to rob us of what we already had, because we would feel really selfish.”
As for the paparazzi, Lively later added, “I don’t want to have to deal with it, but we know the lifestyle we’re in, and while it’s tough… that’s another thing. when it’s our baby [Lively had welcomed James then]. She didn’t get a chance to make a decision about what she wanted.”
