Britney Spears to return to music to work with Sir Elton John following end of conservatorship | Ents & Arts News

Britney Spears will return to the music scene in collaboration with Sir Elton John, it has been announced.

While details about the project are limited, a spokesperson told PA news agency that the new track will be titled Hold Me Closer.

It has been speculated that the pair will join forces in a new version of Sir Elton’s 1971 hit Tiny Dancer.

Sir Elton, 75, shared an image on his official Instagram of a rose and rocket emoji with the words “hold me closer” on Monday.

The spokesperson said more information will be shared over the next week.

Rumors of the famous collaboration were reported by the US media last month.

It comes after Spears’ controversial conservatorship, which controls the pop star’s personal and financial affairs, was terminated after 13 years. at a landmark trial in November 2021.

In June, 40 years old married partner Sam Asghari28 years old, at their home in Los Angeles in a small ceremony attended by celebrity guests including Madonna and Selena Gomez.

Spears is having a legal battle with her father Jamie Spears over his alleged misconduct in a conservatorship role.

Last month a US judge refuse an offer by Mr Spears that the pop star should return to court to face further questioning about the legal settlement.

Judge Brenda Penny had previously ordered Mr Spears to be removed and faced questions about allegedly supervised the singer at her home.
