Run WWE Bruce Prichard recently detailed the circumstances behind AEW EVPs The Young Bucks leaving TNA (now IMPACT Wrestling).
Matt and Nick Jackson have become two of the most famous wrestlers in the world, and overall they are arguably the best poker team. They won many titles during their stay with NJPW, ROH and AEW. However, The Bucks had previously shared an average TNA run that wasn’t exceptional, performing under the names of Jeremy and Max Buck.
Speaking on Something to grapple with podcast, Bruce Prichard details the circumstances that saw the Bucks depart IMPACT Wrestling. He explained that Vince Russo has no plan or desire to plan for the brothers because he is not “high on them”.
“Young Bucks, when they were in TNA [IMPACT Wrestling] come to me and say, ‘We can make more on independents.’ I know that [Vince] Russo doesn’t have anything for them and doesn’t appreciate them. They told me they could make more money on independent companies and I said, ‘Man, make more money on independent companies.’ They said, ‘Can we have our release?’ I said, “Yes, you can be released now.” [H/T WrestlingNews.co]

Young Bucks co-founded AEW in 2019 and has served as Executive Vice President of the promotion. They also won the tag team title on two record-setting occasions.
Young Bucks Reportedly Suspended From AEW
The former tag team champions haven’t been seen since All Out, where, along with Kenny Omega, they won their first Trios championship.
Following this event, during a press conference, CM Punk targeted the trio with allegations that they leaked the story to cast him in a negative light.
Although the sequence of events varied depending on the person in question, it was made clear that the Bucks and Omega confronted Punk for his words. The confrontation turned into a physical melee reported leading to multiple suspensions.

Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, CM Punk and Ace Steel have all been suspended since then. The world title held by CM Punk has been vacated along with the Trios title held by The Elite. It remains to be seen when they return to the AEW show.
