Bye, Ty: Tyra Banks Announces Leaving ‘Dancing with the Stars’ – National
Tyra Banks is trading ballrooms for boardrooms.
The American television personality announced she would be leaving her host performance at Dancing with the stars after three seasons leading the competition show.

Banks, 49, dropped the bomb on TMZ on Thursday. Upon leaving Whole Foods in Santa Monica, Calif., Banks said she would switch jobs to focus on being an entrepreneur.
“I’m really focused on business,” Banks told TMZ.
She said she wanted to focus on building her brand — an ice cream company called Smize & Dream — and producing more TV shows, albeit from behind the scenes.
“I think it’s time to move from the dance floor to the stock exchange,” she said. “From the ballroom to the boardroom!”
When asked directly if she is really going to leave Dancing with the stars, Banks simply replied, “I think the time has come.”

“I am an entrepreneur by nature,” Banks explains. “My heart, my soul, is for my business. That’s also the new TV production we’re working on.”
She said that she would not be able to focus on her business while hosting the show.
Banks take over Dancing with the stars host duties in 2020 after Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews left the show. Bergeron, 67, has hosted the dance show since its inception in 2005. Andrews signed on in 2014.

Banks have appeared in a number of popular TV series over the years. She created the extremely popular competition show America’s top models, premiered in 2003. She also hosted Tyra Banks Program and a season Looking for American talent.
Part 32 of Dancing with the stars will likely air on Disney+ in mid to late September.
