Just a few hours after Striking Distance Studios came out Callisto . protocol, players who purchased the game on PC have noted that the game performed poorly, with many users experiencing stuttering. Now, the team behind the game is working to fix these issues with a one day patch.
Today, Callisto . protocolThe game’s Twitter account announced that the one-day patch for the PC version of the game will be out in a few hours. The team also revealed that they will have a few additional updates, but did not specify what these updates might include.
We know that some users are experiencing stuttering issues on their PC. We have a patch coming in a few hours to improve performance, with some additional updates rolling out.

After the game was released, fans leave negative reviews on Steam regarding these technical issues, only 34% of the 5,288 reviews of the game are currently positive. Issues include unstable performance, stuttering, and poor optimization.

While these issues don’t affect all players, many also report a significant drop in frame rates, which is especially noticeable when turning corners or entering new areas. Some players with high-end graphics cards still report poor performance.

Despite the PC game’s notable performance issues, IGN gave the Callisto Protocol a 7 in our PlayStation 5 review of the game, compare it with the original Dead space series and called it “satisfyingly terrible, but never as great as the series that inspired it.”
