CD Projekt Release Guide to Transfer Cyberpunk 2077 Saving Stadia

With the news that Google Stadia is about to stop working early next year, developers with cloud games looking to help Stadia players keep their savings, including CD Projekt Red, who released a guide to porting games Stadia save for Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt has released a step by step instructions that would allow players who started their Cyberpunk 2077 save on Google Stadia to transfer it to the PC version of the game. According to the CDPR, you can transfer saves from the Stadia cloud using a service called Google Takeout.

In the tutorial, CDPR says players can export their Stadia save files from the cloud using Google Takeout. The saves can then be extracted and copied to the PC version of the game.

If you’re playing on console, you can grab your PC save and sync it with the console version of the game using cross-progress through your GOG account.

While it’s not the simplest route to saving your Stadia, it’s a lifesaver for players looking to lose hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Google announced on September 29 that it would be shutting down Google Stadia. The cloud game service will end on January 18, 2023, when players will lose access to their game library. However, Google will issue a full refund for all games and hardware that players have purchased for Stadia.

The developers seem to have caught on to the news andn-depth report shows Stadia’s tumultuous final days. However, Google is known for underperforming services. So much so that a website dedicated to Google projects is killed.
