China reports 2,106 new Covid cases for October 9 versus 1,925 a day earlier
SHANGHAI: China reported 2,106 new cases of Covid-19 on October 9, of which 434 were symptomatic and 1,672 were asymptomatic. national health commission said on Monday.
This compared with 1,925 new infections a day earlier – 503 symptomatic infections and 1,422 asymptomatic infections, which China counted separately.
There were no new deaths, the same as the day before, keeping the national death toll at 5,226.
As of October 9, mainland China has confirmed 2,53,575 symptomatic cases.
Capital Beijing reported 13 locally symptomatic cases and 3 asymptomatic cases, compared with 6 locally symptomatic and 2 asymptomatic cases the day before, local government data showed .
