The studio continued: “We know this will upset many of you, but we believe this delay is for the best, as we want to make sure to provide the best possible experience for console players. Unfortunately, we’re not able to give a timeframe for a new release date right now, but we’ll update you all as soon as we can. In the meantime, anyone who pre-purchased on the digital storefront will receive a refund according to the platform policy where applicable. “
Humankind was first released on PC and Google Stadia in August 2021. The console ports are announced back in june, along with a second paid DLC called Latin American Culture. The console versions were set to launch on November 4, but now it looks like we’ll have to wait longer.
In IGN’s Judging Humanity, we said, “And maybe with time and DLC, Humanity will also stand with the best of them. For now, it’s a compelling formula that, while not always brilliant, succeeds in making me want to keep clicking one more time. “
