A country music star has been found dead after being reported missing more than a week earlier.
The body of Luke Bell, 32, was discovered in Tucson, Arizonaaccording to the New York Post, citing sources from the city’s police department.
His friend Matt Kinman, also a country artist, confirmed his death on the website Saving Country Music, saying he was found on Monday near where he was reported missing on the 20th. August.
A representative of the Pima County medical examiner’s office also confirmed to Sky News, branch E! News that Bell’s body has been received and an autopsy is pending.
Saving Country Music’s obituary describes Bell, who has opened touring performances for artists including Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr and Dwight Yoakam, as “one of the most authentic and charismatic artists to ever come.” conditions the art form of country music in the modern era”.
Bell released an album of the same name in 2016 and in 2018 was named best male artist at the Ameripolitan Awards in Memphis, Tennessee.
