Gameloft gets Disney theme Mule hasn’t been in early access for a long time, but the life simulator seems ready to take over the world. It helps that there is much more Disney Dreamlight Valley content coming soon, as announced today at the D23 Grand Expo.

In the fall of 2022, Dream Players will say hello to Woody, Buzz and Andy’s room in a new content update. And yes, they will be true to size, i.e. small. From the trailer, it looks like you’ll also be shrunk to ant size during the update’s story section. However, my favorite spot is the obvious new clothing options. You can wear Woody’s suit, which is equipped with a giant drawstring even though it serves no function at all. Fashion!

While it’s technically a larger Disney-themed fan event, D23 also highlights the latest developments in the world of mouse house video games. Friday’s premiere stage is a full showcase of Marvel and Disney games, and if that’s not clear formerly the world’s largest entertainment company is focusing on video gamesit should be now.

In case Disney Dreamlight Valleywell, the game is already was in pretty good shape to begin with. Sims simulate life in sync in real time and let your favorite Disney characters travel with you on an island that you can lavishly decorate. But don’t like Mule, Dreamlight Valley is a more complete RPG in which you can farm, craft and go on vast quests. Through clever, hilarious dialogue, the characters manage to be both surprised and amused even as they stay true to their film counterparts. There are currently some bugs that can affect your quests, but damn if it’s not addictive yet.

Gameloft has made it clear that it intends to support the game for the long haul. The full release is slated for sometime in 2023, at which point it will be free-to-play (with microtransactions of some sort, of course). For now, Gameloft is recommending that players save their Dream Shards, so it sounds like they’ll be valuable once currencies really start coming into play.

D23 also featured news on games like the rumored Captain America/Black Panther game (it by Not discovered yet developer Amy Hennig!) and a new version of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
