As details of the deadly Los Angeles crash that killed six people – including a pregnant woman and her toddler son – were shared, Los Angeles district attorney Nicole Linton said. no alcohol in her system, contrary to previous reports.
George Gascón says Linton doesn’t have alcohol in her system despite a woman claiming to be her friend, saying that Linton is drinking at someone’s house and is mad at her boyfriend.
“I know that some of you spoke to a woman who allegedly drank together. CHP is working to identify this person, but we don’t have any further information,” Gasón said.
Gascón claimed there was “no evidence” that she was drinking and driving, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Los Angeles Times also noted that Linton had a pattern of going into the wreck. She’s had 13 previous crashes, the California Highway Patrol shared.
When asked about what caused the accident, the district attorney expressed that he “won’t go into details.”
Authorities formally charged Linton with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular homicide. She faces up to 90 years in prison.
Linton has a $9 million bail
The former travel nurse has a $9 million bail at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.
As we previously reported, Linton was arrested Friday for manslaughter by negligence following a high-speed collision that occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Slauson Avenue. and La Brea.
In the collision phase, the 37-year-old’s Mercedez-Benz ran a red light at a fairly fast speed.
