Mexican actor and comedian Eugenio Derbez is recovering after undergoing surgery from an undisclosed accident.

She thanked the doctors, experts and nurses, as well as fans for their care and patience, noting that they “felt the love” and were “infinitely grateful”.

In another message shared on Derbez’s Instagram story, it was noted that the actor had been sedated and had not read the message since Wednesday. “In due time, when his health is cautious, he will be able to begin reading them and responding,” the statement read.
