France’s government survives a no-confidence motion
PARIS: Chairperson Emmanuel MacronMy government narrowly survived unconfident movement inside Congress on Monday, after bypassing the lower house last week to push for pension reform, which was deeply unpopular.
A total of 278 MPs voted in favor of the no-confidence motion, not enough to gain the 287 votes needed to bring down the government.
