Britney Spears is back. In the middle of the night, the pop superstar dropped her first new track after ending her role as manager, and she couldn’t have chosen a better way to come back. She appeared on Elton John’s new song “Hold Me Closer”, a remix of his 1971 hit “Tiny Dancer” and 1991’s “The One”. Quite a legendary pairing.
The dance features Spears and John singing the line from “The One” before releasing the famous chorus of “Tiny Dancer” together. The song evokes club and party vibes, making it a perfect addition to those late summer party playlists.

Spears teased “Hold Me Closer” on her Instagram earlier this week before deleting her account shortly after. In her caption, she thanked John for including her on the single.

Spears only needed three hours to record her verses with the producer Andrew Watt at his home in Beverly Hills, TMZ previous report. John, who is out of town, gave a tutorial on Zoom.
The “Rocketman” singer was equally excited for the premiere and even performed it for the crowd at La Guérite restaurant in Cannes. The audience ate it, according to a video John posted on Instagram.
While Spears’ last project was a studio album glory in 2016 this marks her first debut since a judge rule to end her 13-year legal conservatorship last November. “Okie dokie… my first song in 6 years!!!!” she tweeted this week. “It’s great that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time… @eltonofficial!!!! I’m a bit overwhelmed… that’s a big deal for me!!! ”
On the other hand, John has recently collaborated with young pop stars, including Dua Lipa (“Cold Heart”) and Rina Sawayama (“Chosen Family”).
