With over 20 years of experience, how can chanting and meditation help you manage stress?
I’ve been following Buddhism as a life philosophy for over 10 years, and part of that, I chant for an hour a day. The practice of chanting clears my mind and acts as a source of energy to start the day.
Is there a specific technique you’re following or a discipline you’re following on a daily/weekly basis?
Chanting is part of the Nichiren Buddhist philosophy, a very practical philosophy of life based on prayer followed by action. The central tenet of philosophy is the universal law of cause and effect or “Karma”.
Chanting is the starting point; it has helped me a lot in my professional journey and make decisions based on the courage and wisdom gained through this practice.

You also practice Yoga. Is there a particular form you practice? How was your experience?
I practice Hatha Yoga which includes sun salutations and various yoga kriyas, concluding with Pranayama. I have enjoyed yoga as a form of exercise for 8 years.
I practice it about three times a week. It keeps me flexible, healthy and energetic throughout the day. It is a great healing tool, many kriyas and the practice of pranayama techniques helps me maintain hormonal balance in my body, as well as increase immunity.
Why do you think everyone needs to practice some form of meditation or an activity to help calm the mind?
Chanting or meditating is essential for all of us, to take time out of our routine and step back, focusing on silence and self-awareness.
It helps rationalize the mind, strengthens self-belief and positivity, and provides the discipline to work toward realizing our best potential.

The daily practice of chanting along with yoga or swimming exercise will bring a big profit for each day. It creates a rhythm and discipline in life, helping to maintain physical and mental health.
Furthermore, it creates a meaningful balance that strengthens the mind to deal with stressful situations with grit and determination.
Practicing chanting / taking pills gives me perspective and patience, and helps me to be completely in control and accountable even in the most difficult situations.
It provides the emotional strength, courage, and resilience as a leader, to be able to rationalize and make deliberate decisions, and the courage to take a tough stance and, at the same time, to build Create a compassionate work environment that does not compromise results and performance.
