The annual sale event runs from July 12-13 and will offer the best deals you’ll find beyond Black Friday thanks to supply. transaction levels are almost endless. Last year, there were more than two million transactions. But to get any of this year’s deals from Amazon, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. While other major retailers will also have their own sales to compete with Amazon, none of those sales will come close to Prime Day 2022. Amazon has raised the price of Prime memberships. annual price to $139 and monthly price to $15 earlier this year. If you want to shop at a discount but aren’t a member, there are ways to get a free Amazon Prime membership or a hefty discount. We’ve rounded up your free Amazon Prime options below.

Sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime
If you’ve never been an Amazon Prime subscriber, the simplest thing you can do is Sign up for a free trial . Amazon offers a 30-day free trial for new members.
After your 30-day trial ends, you’ll be charged $139 for an annual membership or $15 per month – whichever payment option you choose when you sign up.
Sign up for a free trial of Prime Student
Students with an active university email address can apply free six-month Amazon Prime trial . After the six-month trial ends, students pay $69 per year for Amazon Prime benefits.
Use Amazon Households
If one of your family members has an Amazon Prime membership, you can request to be added to their account. Amazon Household allows up to two adults and four children to share the benefits of Prime across multiple Amazon accounts at no additional cost. It’s imperative that you agree to share payment methods, so there’s a high degree of trust for Amazon Home users.
Use credit card rewards
Not completely free, but credit card rewards do not be shy. And if you’re an lapsed Prime member and aren’t currently eligible for the 30-day free trial, the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card could be a good option. This card, which can be used anywhere that accepts Visa, gives you 5% cash back on every purchase you make at Amazon. You can then use the points to buy items on Amazon.
The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card gives you a $100 Amazon gift card when approved, which pays off the majority of your annual Prime membership. Combine that with 5% cashback on every Amazon purchase, and the cost of the Prime membership can be paid off in full by the time Prime Day ends.
Amazon also offers the standard Amazon Rewards Visa card for non-Prime members, which features 3% cash back on purchases at Amazon. You also get a $50 Amazon gift card when you’re approved for it. But if you’re looking for the hairstyle that best suits your budget, you’ll want to go with the Signature version.
Some groups get a discount when becoming a Prime member
As mentioned above, some people are eligible for Prime membership discounts directly through Amazon. Government Supported People (EBT) can get Prime for $7 per month.
