There’s a story – often a grotesque and nefarious one – behind every celebrity sex tape, including one involving Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. Lily James and Sebastian Stan in real life Baywatch star and drummer Mötley Crue in Pam & TommyHulu’s original TV series just earned 10 Emmy nominations, including best limited series or anthology and best male and female lead in that category.
The eight-episode miniseries tells the love story of a former couple, who married in 1995 for four days at a Cancún resort that was also their first date. Their honeymoon sex tape is hired by Rand Gauthier (Seth Rogen), a carpenter and later fired by Lee, who later refuses to pay the construction bill. Nick Offerman plays Uncle Miltie, a porn producer who helps Rand capitalize on his plagiarized video, and Taylor Schilling plays Rand’s ex-wife and porn star, Erica Gauthier.
While anyone can open Wikipedia to see what happens next (TL;DR is the famous couple that finally reached an agreement with Internet Entertainment Group, the distributor of the stolen tape), the show Hulu offers a glimpse into the aftermath of the sex tape from its stars’ famous shoes.
