If you’re looking for advice, tips, or the UBER traditional wedding registry entry you should ask for, I should tell you now, you’re in the wrong place.
For all things about weddings, I guess you’d say I’m a bit non-traditional. I love going against everything in my life, but especially when it comes to our wedding. I dreaded being a basic bride and also had too many “rules” to follow that didn’t always make sense to me…so I officially threw the majority of the rules/tradition out. system out the window & am just aligning it.
THEREFORE…. while this may not be the place to go for the best Chinese recommendations, I’ve got you covered when it comes to things like a really nice set of pots & pans, books on the coffee table full of stylish and a foot massager disguised as a stool (Zack’s #1 pick lol). As I mentioned- I didn’t follow all the different rules that I had to follow throughout this wedding process, but there is ONE registration rule that I did follow that I think everyone should follow. according to & it is: 3 PRICE POINTS! I guarantee that there are gift ideas for all budgets and that’s super important to me. Some people are going a long way to our wedding and I don’t want them to think they have to give us some fancy gift. Their presence is our present.
Also, Zack and I have been together for a long time (5 years??) and we didn’t need so many necessities that many newlyweds ask for – so we had a marriage. match what we want and what we need. OH- and our wedding was very small, with a very small registry. If we’re hosting a larger wedding, or if you do, you may have a lot of things you need (dish towels, towel sets, bedding, etc.).
As for where we checked in, I also wanted to make things as easy as possible for me & for others & personally I think checking in at 5 different stores can be overwhelming for our guests. you, especially when there are so many universal subscriptions out there!
We did Amazon Registry because you know it’s always been easy for everyone and then we used MyRegistry for our global subscription. I actually started with Sign up for Zola but switched to MyRegistry because the Zola bookmarklet is not working properly. The bookmarklet option is a MUST because it allows you to pin items from ANY store on the internet.
