Today, October 10, Hulu raised its subscription price. Announced in Auguststreaming service owned by Disney, as well as ESPN+ and Disney+, are both increasing in price. Hulu is increasing its ad-supported plan from $6.99 to $7.99 per month. Its ad-free plan now costs $14.99 per month instead of $12.99 per month.

For now, Disney plan subscribers are safe as Hulu hasn’t raised the price yet. However, the plan that comes with ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu with ads will increase in price later this year. This plan is increasing from $13.99 per month to $14.99 per month. Thankfully, the Disney bundle with Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ without ads will stay the same at $19.99 per month.

Hulu’s Live TV plans won’t change today, but there’s a chance prices will go up. The basic plan — Hulu Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+ — costs $69.99 per month and includes advertising and bundles Disney+ and ESPN+ with Hulu. Hulu Live TV, ESPN+ with ads, and Disney+ without ads will still cost $74.99 per month.

The surge can be overwhelming for consumers, which is one reason why run-and-return is so common. Antenna found 30 million fewer cancellations in Q1 2022, 12% higher than any quarter in history.
