NOIDA: Uttar Pradesh government officials on Monday used a bulldozer to remove illegal constructions outside the residence of fugitive politician Shrikant Tyagi in Noida.
According to an official, the action was taken around 9 a.m. by the Noida Authority at Tyagi’s ground-floor apartment in the Grand Omaxe society in Area 93B.

Tyagi encroached on a part of the communal area in front of his apartment by constructing temporary structures out of columns and tiles.
He also planted trees in a park in front of his residence.

Tyagi, who claims to be a BJP politician, has been charged by police with assaulting and abusing a co-resident of Grand Omaxe, who protested his planting of trees in the public area.
Tyagi has stated that he has the right to do so.
Police officers in large numbers have been deployed in the commune since yesterday evening, even as senior officers were in contact with Grand Omaxe residents.
They praised the government’s “bulldozer” move but also managed to arrest Tyagi early even as some of them were distributing sweets to each other during the incident.
“We raised the encroachment issue three years ago and it finally happened. We thank the Uttar Pradesh government and the Noida government for that,” an elderly resident living in the society told reporters. reporter.
Over 1,000 families reside in the society.
