Incredible rescue after a hunter fell nearly 30 feet from a tree
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. – An amazing rescue from Maryland State Police Aviation Command soldiers after a hunter fell from a tree in Ellicott City.
It all happened just before 8 a.m. when the team was called to rescue an injured hunter who had fallen 20 to 30 feet from a tree in a remote part of the Cascade Falls Trail.
The hunter suffered multiple broken ribs and possibly a broken pelvis. ATVs are unable to reach the injured person due to the great distance and severity of the victim’s injuries.
Patients were taken to helicopters, where they were taken to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.
