Iowa man taken to hospital after home explosion in Chillicothe

A man is at the hospital following a home explosion in southeastern Iowa on Tuesday afternoon. The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call about a house exploding Tuesday afternoon. They say the caller also said that a man was outside the house, when the delegates arrived, they found a man near the residence. He was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital. His name was not disclosed. His condition is currently unknown. 6 different organs responded to the explosion. The cause of the explosion is under investigation at this time.
