On Saturday, Jennifer Lopez headed to Universal Studios for her guest appearance at Grameen America’s Elevate Latina event in a chic white suit. J.Lo is the national ambassador of the nonprofit organization, a partnership that began in June of this year.
The suit consists of white wide-leg pants and a pointed-collared blouse. Besides, Lopez wears a matching slanted blazer. The belt is tied with a white Fendi belt, and the top of her white flats is only visible under her cuffs. Lopez left her hair in a loose bun, and wore small earrings and pendants as accessories. She posed for pictures with Grameen America’s president and CEO, Andrea Jung, and television producer Desiree Gruber
The actress and singer recently talked to Good Morning America about her decision to partner with Grameen America, saying, “When you get a little older, you understand the meaning behind everything and you’ve seen enough and you’ve had your own struggles, and seen enough. injustices.”
She continued, “I just feel this country needs more love and positivity, and people who want to do good, not against each other and who just support each other. That’s important to me.”
The New York City-based organization provides financial assistance and guidance to low-income women looking to start a small business. Lopez said Forbes“It seems that the only thing holding back the Latino community is financial literacy and access to capital.”
She said in a statement above Grameen America website, “Being Latin in this country has always been a matter of pride for me. I am humbled and beyond grateful to be partnering with Grameen America. We’re building pathways to jobs and leadership opportunities… There’s a lot of power in this community and we’re tapping into it. This partnership will create equality, inclusion and opportunity for Latina women in business. ”
