Jones in Cowboys QB Situation: ‘Dak is our guy’
The Dallas Cowboys on Sunday beat the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California 22-10 to go 4-1 on the season, and 4-0 against backup quarterback Cooper Rush.
Rush took over as the Cowboys’ starter after Dak Prescott injured his hand in the team’s Week 1 loss to Tampa Bay. Rush hasn’t hit the scoreboard yet, but he has helped the team win at home against the Bengals and Commanders, and a road victory over the Giants and Rams.
Rush didn’t throw more than 235 yards in a game, but he passed four touchdowns without overturning.
Rush’s formula of making mistakes and letting the defense dominate has produced strong results. Despite that, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insisted after Sunday’s game that Prescott was still the team’s starter.
