‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Writer, ‘Elvis’ Dialect Coach Joined – The Hollywood Reporter
Love is in the air at the channels.
Emily Carmichael, co-author of Jurassic World Dominionand Erik Singer, the dialect coach on Elvis, participating. The couple, whose film is currently in the top three at the US box office, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter and share their exclusive (and playful) interactive portraits.
Carmichael and Singer met in Budapest on set Terminator: Dark Fate. Singer who also worked Mulan, The Survivor and Cabinet of Curiosityis serving as a dialect coach while Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising) visited the set. He confirmed that he fell in love with her immediately and they started dating in November 2018.
“She’s hilarious and razor sharp,” said Singer, who has worked closely with Elvis broke through Austin Butler, training him to master Elvis Presley’s voice and pronunciation for his demanding (and critically acclaimed) transformation. “It’s love at first sight, at least for me.”
Their engagement also went smoothly. Carmichael said it happened in the car on the way to the supermarket. “We had a series of conversations that opened up that we wanted to spend a lifetime together. She immediately explained. “I said, ‘Wait, I want to marry you, and you want to marry me,’ and Erik said, ‘Yeah.’ I said, “Damn, we’re engaged!”
As for the visuals, Carmichael sketched out costume designer Katja Andreiev’s talent for bringing together sci-fi and fantasy outfits. “Science and fantasy are everything to me,” she said. “The genre of magic, adventure, romance, horror and growth. You should have fun and put magic into your life whenever possible. “
They plan to get married in the summer of 2023 in their own home.
