MANILA, Philippines — Kai Sotto was hardly a factor in Adelaide’s season-opening loss to Tasmania, 97-72, at the Australian National Basketball League on Thursday (Philippine time).
Sotto was capped by the 36ers in just five minutes against Jack Jumpers, where he finished with four points, three rebounds and a block at the defensive end.
Josh Magette starred in Tasmania’s win with a high 23 in the game, including 14 in the opening innings to give them a great opening, 32-10.
At the other end, Craig Randall leads the 36ers in score with 18 markers and three boards.
Sotto was also on the bench in his team’s final pre-season game against Oklahoma City Thunder where he didn’t score for nine minutes.
The 36ers will face the Illawarra Hawks on Saturday.
