Keenyi Pepe, a name worth watching for Florida schools in 2026


Bradenton, Fla. – IMG Academy has a well-known reputation for accumulating incredible talent, and that ability extends far beyond the senior and junior classes. The Ascenders have huge depth in the roster heading into the 2022 season and will soon become household names in the 2026 pool. In that group of highlights are Keenyi Pepe.

Pepe is a west coast line that moves to Florida from California. The Pac-12 is poised for a sizable onslaught with offers coming from Colorado, Oregon, USC and Utah. The rest of the country is catching up with the freshman phenom with 12 rejected offers.

State of Florida, Floridaand Miami host Pepe this summer with Florida State and Miami training him at the camps. Pepe told of his time in Tallahassee.

“It was great to meet coach (Alex) Atkins (OC/OL),” said Pepe. “I like Coach Atkins. We took a tour around the football facility.”

The coaching talent on the Hurricanes team was impressive for Pepe.

“It was fun,” says Pepe. “Meeting coach (Alex) Mirabal and coach (Mario) Cristobal and also coach Jason Taylor, it was great.”

His time in Gainesville was short, but it was fun for Pepe.

“It was pretty cool,” said Pepe. “It was a quick visit. We toured their facilities.”

A second rotation with ACC programs could happen this fall.

“I think I could go to FSU and maybe Miami,” Pepe said.

Pepe received offers from Miami and Florida State after camping with both teams.
