Khayri McLean: 15-year-old boy arrested after murder of Huddersfield school pupil | UK News

Another young man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 15-year-old student Khayri McLean in Huddersfield.

He is the second person to be arrested as police investigate the death of a 15-year-old boy after he was stabbed outside his school.

West Yorkshire Police said: “Police investigating the murder of Khayri McLean, 15, in Huddersfield, have arrested a second young man in connection with the incident.

“The 15-year-old male was arrested yesterday and is currently in custody. The 16-year-old man arrested yesterday is also still in custody.

“Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s main and homicide squad (HMET) are continuing to investigate the death of Khayri, who died after being stabbed on Woodhouse Hill, Huddersfield, on Wednesday.”

Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.54pm on Wednesday, following the attack near the entrance of North Huddersfield Trust School.

Khayri was treated at the scene and taken to Leeds General Hospital for emergency surgery, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
