Prepare, Bravo fan!
While The Real Housewives of New York City paused, viewers will soon see two fan favorites on their screens. Who can you ask? No one else Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan! However, it will be for another program! According to an announcement from Bravo on Saturday, the longtime co-stars will receive their own series called Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. What is it about? The network says the show will follow Luann and Sonja as they bid farewell to the Big Apple and head to the small town of Benton, Illinois, to breathe new life into their surroundings. As a press release for the program states, each Tonight’s reception:
Unbeknownst to the locals of Benton, the town council surprised everyone by inviting ‘True Housewives’ superstars Luann and Sonja to help renovate their small town, which has population is only about 7,000 people. It’s an out-of-water fish experience for everyone involved, especially when two Manhattanites check into a local motel. “

It continues:
“At the mayor’s request, they took on missions to boost morale and spark a new spirit in the town. From building a new playground to revitalizing local theater with a full variety show, Luann and Sonja have done their job as they embrace their new temporary home. Whether searching for the town’s famous crappie fish in the lake with your bare hands or going through the mud with a monster truck, one thing is for sure – with Luann and Sonja in charge and out of their element, sure to follow. sharks and fun. “
It doesn’t sound appealing – but it sounds like the show is very similar to Simple life!
News comes later Andy Cohen announced in March that they are consolidating RHONY and create a new “legacy” program. It’s a huge change for the franchise, putting the fates of many of the current actors on the air right now. Unfortunately, there are no updates on who has been selected for either program right now. But the good news is that fans won’t have to wait too long for the Luann and Sonja spin-off series as it’s coming out in 2023!
