MAGA Fan Accused of Setting Fire to His Own Van in Minneapolis After Blaming Biden Supporters and BLM
A Minneapolis man told police he was the victim of a horrific, politically motivated attack in the heat of the 2020 presidential race: His passenger van was set on fire because it has a Trump flag on it and the fire has spread to engulf other vehicles and his garage, which itself has been painted with supportive graffiti Joe Biden and Black Lives Matter, just weeks after local police killed George Floyd.
Investigators have now concluded that he staged the whole incident.
Denis Molla, 29, from the Brooklyn Center, has been charged with two counts of phone fraud in connection with the September 2020 incident, Molla said. Molla is accused of staged hatred that happened the year after the actor Jussie Smollett pretends to have been targeted in a hate crime by assailants shouting pro-Trump in Chicago.
