Man detained after mother was stabbed to death and left with a knife to her head

Over the weekend, Philadelphia police recovered the body of a woman who died from multiple stab wounds, including one in the face. Based on Fox 29 Philadelphia, the victim’s lifeless body inside a Honda Odyssey after it was discovered around 8:25 a.m. local time on Saturday. Although police have not released the identity of the victim, social media users seem to have tracked her down. A GoFundMe account circulating accuses the woman of being Ashley Lockhart, a mother of six underage children in her 30s.

“On Saturday, August 6, 2022, our beautiful Ashley Lockhart was taken from her 6 beautiful daughters, family and loved ones so tragically and suddenly. Ashley is an amazing mom, a dedicated working mom and a dedicated mom,” GoFundMe said. “She loved all of her children and spent her energy and sacrifices for them that they will forever remember.”

Police confirmed a man of interest was in custody. However, they still keep the details secret except to share about the man at the age of 34. The relationship of the man with the victim is not clear at this time.

Police found Ashley’s body with a knife still on his head and multiple stab wounds all over his body. Survallience footage near the crime scene shows a man in black shorts and a black T-shirt opening the driver’s door. He appears to be holding an object in his right hand. The man climbed into the driver’s seat and leaned over to the passenger side. This footage shows the man moving back and forth in a frenzy. At the same time, the video shows the victim shoving the man through the tinted rear window of the pickup truck.

In street interviews, Fox 29 Philadelphia spoke with Amen Brown, State Representative for District 190. The state representative released more details about the mother.

“She had a current PFA against her boyfriend and now she’s passed away,” Amen said. “So now we have another life lost, possibly because of some nonsense.”

A PFA is a court order that provides legal protection to people who are in or have recently come out of an abusive relationship. The letters stand for protection from abuse. But, Again, it’s unclear whether the man in custody is the mother’s boyfriend.

Lakeisha Lockhart, a member of Ashley’s family, hosted a GoFundMe fundraiser. Its description says the fundraiser has begun “Stay motivated girls.”

“[The girls] going back to school after a few short weeks, and their daily necessities are important to us to make sure they don’t go missing, as Ashley did. The ages of all the girls were 10, 8, 6, 5, 4 and 5 months,” said GoFundMe. “As a family, we will make sure that all of the “6 Charms” (as Ashley calls her girls) stay together and that their Mother’s life and legacy is one. of the things that they will forever remember. All proceeds will be only for the expenses and needs of the girls. “
