Marshawn Lynch Joins ‘Thursday Night Football’ Cast
“Beast Mode” is coming to “Thursday Night Football.”
Amazon’s Vice President of Global Sports Video, Marie Donoghue told “Marchand and Ourand Sports Media Podcast“that five-time former Pro Bowl league executive Marshawn Lynch has been hired by Amazon Prime Video to be part of the game ‘Thursday Night Football’.
The news came two months after Lynch was arrested and charged with DUIand although the 36-year-old is joining the cast from the middle of the 2022 season, Donoghue says it has nothing to do with his legal troubles.
“I think Marshawn wants to work things out,” said Donoghue. “We worked with him. We never left. We just worked with him on a few things and we’re excited. We can’t wait for him to join.”
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York PostLynch will be available in “three to four-minute features” that Amazon is calling “The “N Yo” City.”
On Thursday, ahead of the Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders game, Lynch’s first feature will see him “playing ball with kids from Highland Park, a Chicago suburb that was ravated by a gunman on the 4th. July.”
During Week 7, Lynch will “feed the alligators” ahead of the Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints.
