Maryland father beaten to death – Allegedly by his child’s school bullies

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

A Maryland father was brutally beaten to death last week after a school fight was brought to his doorstep.

Last Friday, Christopher Michael Wright sacrificed his life to protect his family when a group of three teenagers and two adults showed up at his residence wishing to continue the war that first broke out at his school. his child.

Tracy KaropchinskyWright’s fiancée and mother of his children, told WBAL-TV Second her 14 year old son Trenton clash with another teenager at school, Brooklyn Park High School in Anne Arundel County, earlier that day. That night, a group of five went to their home to find her son, and Chris went out to resolve the situation. Sadly, things went south quickly:

“Chris went out to tell them, say, he didn’t come here to fight, and at one point they threatened to come and arrest him, and then they said, ‘If he’s not going to fight,’ , then you will fight.'”

WTF??

Chris was then attacked by the ferocious group, mercilessly beaten, and repeatedly hit his head on concrete in front of his family. When emergency responders finally arrived, they quickly took him to a nearby shock trauma center, but it was too late. Tracy told the store:

“Damage was done before the ambulance took him away. He’s having a seizure, that’s it. There was nothing the hospital could do.”

A day later, the 43-year-old father died of a traumatic brain injury. How completely heartbreaking.

Chris’ sister-in-law, Kristin Karopchinsky shared with the store through teary eyes:

“I will never forget the noise my grandchildren made when we had to tell them [their father] gone.”

The entire incident was recorded by the family and neighbors’ security cameras. Tracy explained that she tried to watch the footage again, but it all became overwhelming for her when she saw her 12-year-old son rushing to try to help his father:

“I was at Shock Trauma, and at first my dad and I were trying to get the camera on, and the first video that came out was my 12-year-old son screaming, ‘Daddy, daddy, daddy’ and running. out of the house to the street to help my father. And, I couldn’t watch anymore after that. I just can’t.

Who can blame her? We can’t even imagine…

BPMS confirmed the fight between the teenagers and said it was working with law enforcement on the investigation. Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Marc Limansky shared with the store:

“Anyone who assists or abets, or is an accomplice of, the prime suspect, or the prime suspect in this case, will be held accountable.”

Currently, the suspects have not been named, but the investigation is ongoing. ONE GoFundMe for families, which you can access HERE, has been started to help cover the costs involved.

Our hearts are broken for Chris’ family. We hope they can find some kind of justice – although obviously nothing will be able to bring their husbands and fathers back.
