Mets GM addresses claim team needs ‘one more hitter’
New York Mets general manager Billy Eppler seems to disagree with team owner Steve Cohen over the club needing “one more player” when Carlos Correa is not an option.
“I think we have a strong and deep squad,” Eppler said in Tuesday’s press conference regarding signed of the man who captured Omar Narvaez and reintroduced the reliever Adam Ottavino, each Danny Abriano by SNY. “I believe in our team’s ability to score points. This goes without saying, and I think I’ve said it before – regarding any area of the organization – you can always be. better.”
Eppler reiterated that the Mets “can always be better” despite having a strong roster.
