Around 11:47 a.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to Wayne Park in Waverly to reports of a stabbing, according to law enforcement.
Initial investigation revealed that the 14-year-old suspect stabbed the alleged 15-year-old victim multiple times, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities said the 15-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
According to law enforcement, the 14-year-old boy was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the crime scene is still under investigation and the park will be closed until that is complete.
