News ‘Big Shock’! Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young are expecting their first child together!

The couple confirmed the good news with People on Wednesday. They said it was a “huge shock” for them as they were undergoing in vitro fertilization treatments and expected to transfer the embryos next fall. However, their plans (apparently) have changed! As Heather told the publication:

“We just didn’t expect this. We just went through IVF. We’ve got casts on ice. We had a plan. I think when you least expect and there is no stress in your life, the world just gives us what it is. I’m so glad it happened like this.”

The Sunset sale the star, who has been public about her struggles with fertility in the past, admits while at first she was happy just being the stepmother to her children with her ex-wife Christina Haack – 11 years old Taylor and 6 years old Brayden – in the end she wants more:

“When we started dating three years ago, we started our relationship with no plans to have children together. I really enjoy being a bonus mom to Taylor and Brayden. They are amazing kids and I love them so much. But as your love grew more and more and you loved someone more deeply and the two of you built this life together, I began to picture myself having a child with Tarek. I started to think that I just wanted to create something with the man I was in love with. “

Tarek added:

“I’m just obsessed with my kids. They are my everything, so having another is just the icing on the cake. I am very excited.”

As for how they found out about their pleasure? Heather, who is due to give birth early next year, said they received the good news a few weeks ago when she suddenly felt the urge to “take a pregnancy test immediately”. After the first two tests “showed up” undetected, “she took another one just in case:

“I am organizing my clothes. I was just doing other things, and maybe 20 minutes later I was like, ‘Oh, pregnancy test.’ I went to have a look and it said pregnant.”

Immediately, the real estate agent shouted and scared her assistant, who immediately burst into tears when revealing what had happened. She continued:

“I did two more tests. Immediately, [they said] pregnant.”

Heather then decided to surprise Tarek when he got home from work by placing the pregnancy tests inside a box with confetti and a baby cake inside. But when she gave it to Flip or flip Why, he didn’t understand exactly what was going on in a moment of heat. Tarek recalls:

“I am opening this box and have these sticks. I stared at them and thought, are these COVID tests? And then I said, ‘Oh, s**t! Are you pregnant?’ She said yes, and that’s how we found out. “

Heather went on to say:

“I swear, it was 30 seconds of him trying to piece it together. I started to cry because it was a moment of excitement and relief. He was very happy. We hugged and kissed each other.”

Ah so!! So sweet!

The TV personalities also revealed they took a test to find out the sex of the baby. However, they don’t plan to review the results until they hold a reveal party in a few weeks. But it seems Tarek can guess! Heather says:

“Tarek thought it was a girl. I don’t know yet. I just want a happy, healthy baby. We had Tay and Bray, so I’m happy to have. But I secretly wanted a little mini Heather.”
