Over the past few weeks, a Nintendo Direct cinematic (*Xenoblade live onscreen* No, not that one) has been rumored to be made before the end of June. At the eleventh hour, Nintendo confirmed that an actual Live is happening * cheering sound effects * buuuuutttttt * cheers ending scratch sound effect * that this will be one of its mini-presentations dedicated to the titles third party games. So expect to see some news on titles like Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope rather than a Breath of the Wild sequel.

Speaking of Jeff Grubb and wait, this year is the 20th anniversary of the beloved Metroid Prime, and it looks like Nintendo may finally be ready to put out a remake of this classic in time for the celebration. that concept. Grubb reports that he’s been told “quite definitively” that the remaster will be one of Nintendo’s big 2022 holiday releases. Grubb also notes that rather than a bundle of the entire trilogy, this release will only be a remake of the first Metroid Prime, and while there are plans to re-release two and three, those titles may not get the same level of overhaul.
