North Korea flies warplanes near border after missile launches
SEOUL: south Korea speak North Korea flew combat aircrafts close to the borders of rivals, prompting South Korea to scramble for fighters.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that the North Korean planes flew nearly 12 kilometers (7 miles) north of the inter-Korean border between late Thursday and early Friday.
This is a highly unusual incident and it comes amid heightened tensions between the rivals over North Korea’s recent missile tests.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said they responded by fighting F-35 . jet and other fighters. There were no reports of clashes between opponents.
