Novak Djokovic beats Nick Kyrgios in Wimbledon men’s final | UK News
Novak Djokovic won his seventh Wimbledon title after defeating Nick Kyrgios in the men’s singles final.
The Serbian player successfully defended his title in four sets, winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (3).
It was Djokovic’s 21st Grand Slam title.
During the match, Kyrgios was penalized for swearing and complaining harshly to the referee about a “drunk” woman in the crowd, who he alleged called him during play.
Djokovic, who won the previous three tournaments at SW19, remained calm as his Australian opponent yelled at his teammates and the referee.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George were also in the crowd.
