Ukraine WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk on Monday said he would do anything to win against Britain’s Tyson Fury but would be happy if the bout didn’t end in a knockout because the boxer’s health was damaged.

The 35-year-old Ukrainian tennis player still retains his heavyweight title after Second win in a row over Anthony Joshua in August and wants to add Fury’s WBC crown to his collection early next year.

He said earlier in November he is only interested in fighting him next.

“Well trained, big guy, he knows what he has to do. I know it won’t be a walk in the park, but I’m ready,” Usyk told Polish news agency Interia.

“I will do anything to win.”

Usyk added that he never set a knockout goal when he entered the ring and was happy to win by points.

“Knockout is a difficult problem for an athlete. I really don’t want to take away anyone’s health. I’m really happy that we both come off the ring on our own two feet,” he said.

“Of course I want to win, but I don’t want to hurt anyone.”
