People Are Not Prepared For The Energy Crisis – Bitcoin Magazine
Here is a live excerpt of Marty .’s Bent Problem #1256: “Most people are unprepared.“ Sign up for the newsletter here.
The freight train plowed down the tracks with the brakes malfunctioning, the conductor leaning forward honking his horn, but few people standing on the tracks and in danger seemed to hear. Hearing loss is because most people are quite comfortable. It wasn’t until the train passed that they began to hear the roar of wheels on the tracks and a slightly shrill whistle.
It seems that every passing day brings with it another victim of the runaway train. People are forced to open their eyes and ears and accept the fact that life is not what it used to be. This time around, the 20s were not a decade of prosperity and cultural expression. Instead, a decade of economic depression and cultural goals marked the end of the Industrial Age and the tumultuous transition to the Digital Age. This transformation will be disruptive to many people across the globe, and some are just beginning to realize this.
The second half of the 20th century brought with it a consolidation of power that led to an obsession with central planning. Slowly but surely, decision after decision, step by step, the central government’s insatiable desire to get its hands on every part of your life has led to brutal coercion that encroached upon the free market. gave a very select group of people control. about your money, energy, food, health care and “civil liberties”. In their quest, they have successfully gained control of these aspects of your life, and we all discovered pretty quickly that they could wield leverage but they simply didn’t. know how to operate them.
People around the world are waking up to find that they simply cannot afford to run their businesses amid the nuclear price of energy over the past few months. Small businesses, many of whom are lucky to be around and still trying to pick up pieces after they were forced to close by inefficient central planners, are facing energy bills more than five times that times they used to pay only a few months ago. A few more months of these and cities and towns will become ghost cities. There will be nowhere to go as small business owners as well as large canned goods will be forced out of the market because the costs are simply too high. Here’s an example of the UK that popped up on Twitter today.
Callum’s mom might try to avoid closing by increasing her price by more than 5 times but that would result in a mixed chocolates of $13 and iced lattes of $20. The average bloak will only be able to endure those prices if his salary is increased materially in the next few weeks and that most likely won’t happen. So it seems that, unless the world’s psychopathic leaders decide to end their dodgy measurement contest and decide to continue with sane energy and diplomacy, industry in both ends of the spectrum will stop working. Everyone will be thrown into the unemployed wolves. And things will go into a dark place pretty quickly.
We’ve been saying this for weeks but what we haven’t really mentioned is how badly most people are unprepared. This crisis is beginning in Europe, but due to the interconnected nature of the global economy, it will also reach our shores. This thought made me think of the TikTok “day in the life of a LinkedIn employee” that took place on Twitter last week.
How many of these people are there? Enjoy doing things where you don’t have to do anything but eat, socialize and complete some regular tasks every few hours. Surfing through the wave of central bank-driven liquidity created an illusion of easy money with relative comfort and stability blissfully unaware of the train heading straight for them because they have AirPods™ always on the lookout for the latest viral beats on TikTok. This rag may be a bit rambling up to this point, but what I’m trying to achieve is that there are a lot of people who don’t understand that their state of comfort and stability – even in reduced post form . Lock -COVID – about to be attacked. And when that happens to tens or hundreds of millions of people around the world in a relatively short period of time, what kind of chaos will ensue? What happens when more than one person can’t get a paycheck for months at a time? What kind of beastly caveman damn thing are we about to witness in the world?
Try to be as prepared as possible.
